I Workout!

Today I went to pump some iron! Not really, but I did go to the gym to exercise. I did make an attempt at lifting weights. However, I didn't do so great. Weights are super heavy! There are a lot of exercises I am good at though. I can run so fast on a treadmill. Also, I can do squats, lunges, or push ups. I may be small, but I can do a serious workout!
I love to go workout. I enjoy being healthy, so I plan on staying that way. I work out three times a week for about an hour each time. It seems like a lot of work, but it really isn't. I enjoy feeling like I've accomplished something at the end of my workout. I've found that the more I exercise, the more I like it! I would recommend exercising regularly to anyone. You will notice a change in how you feel!

I look so small compared to these weights!

The Vulcan

Today I experienced some of Birmingham's finest history. I visited the Vulcan! It was so interesting to discover all about the Vulcan and about its history. It was such a beautiful place. I did feel like a little shrimp having my picture taken in front of the Vulcan. It was huge!
Did you know that the Vulcan is the world's largest cast iron statue? Even though the Vulcan was made much sooner, it wasn't placed in its current location until the 1930's. The Vulcan did have to be repaired once, but now it's as amazing as ever! The Vulcan contains a park and museum. How cool is that? I had a great time visiting the Vulcan.

Science Experiments

Today I went to a science class with a friend. It was my first time ever in college. They did attention grabbers tonight. Attention grabbers are mini experiments that get students attention at the beginning of a class. They sure grabbed my attention!
My friend let me help her do her experiment. She did a grabber called Magic Ketchup. She said that if you put a ketchup packet in a two liter bottle filled with water and squeeze it, the ketchup packet would sink. This is because pressure is being put on ketchup packet making it more dense. When you release the bottle, the ketchup floats because it is less dense. It's confusing, right? But it sure was cool!! I can't wait to be in college so I can do all these cool experiments.

Church Time!

Today I went to church with my friend, Kallie. She goes to Edgewood Congregational Methodist Church in Anniston. There she teaches a Sunday school class full of third, fourth, and fifth graders. Today they learned about the fruits of the spirit. Class went great! The kids played a fun game of Bible Verse Race after the lesson was over. I really enjoyed Sunday School.
Then we had a great church service. The choir sang a wonderful special. The pastor did an amazing job preaching out of the book of Acts. It was such a great day getting to meet new people and learn about God. I even took a picture with Kallie outside after church was over. Also, I sang a song with Kallie's niece, Emily, this afternoon. It's called Jesus Loves Me. She learned it at bible school. Today was so much fun!

This is me and Kallie outside of church.

Mary Kay

Last night I went to my very first Mary Kay Cosmetics meeting. I have a good friend who works for Mary Kay as an independent beauty consultant, and she invited me just for fun. Anyways, I learned a lot of amazing things about the company and products. Did you know that Mary Kay has an anti-aging skin care line for early signs of aging to severe signs of aging? I also learned that your skin starts to lose its collagen at age 19! Can you tell I learned a lot of facts?
The best part of the night was the free facial I received from my friend. She said that every time she brings a guest with her, they get a free facial. We also ate popcorn and chocolate. That was really good. I also loved the room where the meeting was held. It's called the Pink Room. Everything in there is pink and has leopard print with pink boas everywhere. It's located in Oxford. That evening it was quite cold outside. I had to dress in a lot of layers, but the Pink Room was really warm. I had a great time! I am posting a link for anyone who would like to learn more about Mary Kay! Here's the link: http://www.marykay.com/.
This is a photo of me, Stacy, with a photo of Mary Kay Ash. She was the founder or Mary Kay Cosmetics. I thought this was a great photo opportunity!
